The Captain

Captain Fred Khedouri is a US Coast Guard licensed captain.  He began fishing in salt water off the beaches of Florida 56 years ago and has never stopped.  He brings an extensive knowledge of marine biology and 40 years experience running sportfishing boats of all sizes.  With 28 years experience fishing the waters around Martha's Vineyard, he knows where and how to find the fish.  He is a frequent contributor to New England's premier fishing magazine, On the Water and was for many years its Martha's Vineyard correspondent writing a monthly column on fishing around the island. 

Captain Fred has fished around the world, including in the Bahamas, Costa Rica, and the top US areas such as Hatteras and Florida.  Notable catches include a 150lb Pacific sailfish landed on a fly rod, every variety of tuna and large pelagic found in the Atlantic Ocean including bluefin, yellowfin, blackfin, longfin (albacore), bonito, and false albacore, both white and blue marlin, and wahoo.
